    Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is dependent upon experience


    The Electrical Engineer works with the engineering development team in all phases of the aircraft systems integration life cycle to design and integrate new and existing aircraft systems in support of Air Force Special Operations Forces in a fast paced exciting environment. Participate in electrical engineering design decisions and assist in the development of electrical and electronic requirements. Interface with subject matter experts including pilots, navigators, and mission support staff to assist in defining system architectures. Create and maintain applicable electrical design plans, schematics, electrical analyses, test plans, test reports and test data. Perform technical tasks to design, document, and test electrical and electronic systems and components. Support resolution of technical issues. Prepare briefings, cost estimates, metrics, and status reports to support project and team management. Attend technical and managerial meetings and reviews. Interface effectively with component and system commercial vendors to design and/or purchase items that meet system requirements. There will be a particular emphasis on rapid-reaction engineering solutions to emerging requirements and operational incidents from fielded units.




    • Knowledge and skills to participate in analysis, design, development, and integration activities
    • Experience in military or other aircraft/vehicle systems projects, including complex design and implementation
    • Understanding and ability to apply engineering principles and methods to integrate and ensure interoperability of components and subcomponents.
    • Able to develop overall system power, weight, size, and interface requirements
    • Able to perform Electrical Load Analysis, Continuity Tests and Operational Tests and to prepare associated plans and reports IAW Air Force standards.
    • Tests and to prepare associated plans and reports IAW Air Force standards
    • Experience in preparing electrical schematics and electrical harness drawings
    • DoDAF experience desired
    • Knowledge of AFSOC aircraft electrical systems
    • Knowledge of MIL-STD 1553 BUS design and operation.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel required
    • Experience with CAD software and tools
    • Able to prepare MS Office products required for formal design reviews and presentations
    • Experience in assigning new aircraft reference designators for components and harnesses highly desired
    • Must have knowledge in MIL-STD requirements for component airworthiness
    • Experience in obtaining MIL-STD testing for new/unknown components
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-demand environment
    • AFSOC background a plus


    1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.


    2. Masters Degree preferred.


    5-8 years of related experience.

    • Must have a Secret Clearance to begin work and the ability to obtain a Top Secret-SCI security clearance
    • The work is typically performed in an office environment but will require some on-aircraft work
    • This work may require short-term TDYs to meet with users and/or perform aircraft analysis
    • Must be able to obtain a passport for OCONUS travel, if required. Existing passport highly desired
    • Lift over 35 LBS
