The Software Engineer performs detailed analysis, design, code development, integration, and test software components, services, scripts, and applications for computer based systems supporting Special Operations Forces in a fast paced exciting environment. Performs and supports rapid development efforts to satisfy critical mission needs and new innovative capabilities that enable delivery of real-world combat effects. Enhances and updates existing software components, services, and applications for integration with new and/or updated hardware and software. Creates and/or updates build definitions for configuring and deploying software components, services, and applications. Designs and configures environment for modeling, simulation, and testing. Designs and develops utility programs and tools. Works with cross-functional teams following Agile Development Methods supporting daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, tasking, and reviews. Provides technical support to internal and external customers and vendors for technical issues. Creates or updates program documents such as: Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Software Design Document (SDD), Interface Control Document (ICD), Software Test Descriptions (STD), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), etc. Provide technical direction to junior software personnel.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
Must be DoD 8570 IAT-Level-2 compliant (Security-Plus CE preferred), or higher
8-10 years of related software development experience.
The work is typically performed in an office environment but will require some on-aircraft
This work may require short-term TDYs to meet with users and/or perform aircraft analysis
Must be able to obtain a passport for OCONUS travel, if required. Existing passport highly desired
