Job Description

ARMA Global is seeking a self-starter Information Security Analyst that performs work in a small team capacity and can support a dynamic Special Operations customer responsible for the following: Ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Enterprise IT Systems. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a team responsible for Security Engineering analysis, compliance monitoring, and Assessment and Authorization of many such systems residing on multiple networks. Candidate will be required to perform technical support focused on the development, operation, management, and enforcement of security capabilities for systems and networks. Technical support is concentrated on the protection and defense of information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This includes providing for their restoration by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities. Must possess experience with DoD's defense in depth architecture, the capabilities associated with the DoD architecture, and Information Assurance (IA) / Computer Network Defense (CND) Policies and procedures. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent of 5-8 yrs combination of education, professional training or work experience.



  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I Certification (CISSP, CAP, GSLC, Security Plus CE)
  • 3-5 years of experience in data security administration or related field
  • Experience in the interpretation, application, and evaluation of DoD, DISA, Joint Staff, CNSSI, and NIST cybersecurity instructions, publications, and policies
  • Experience in the application, and evaluation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs); DISA Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), and National Security Agency Security Configuration Guides
  • Experience in the application and evaluation of NIST 800-53 Security Controls, and CNSSI 1253 Security Controls and Overlays


  • DoD 8570.01 CSSP certification preferred
  • Performs Computer Security Incident Response activities for a large organization, coordinates with other government agencies to record and report incidents.
  • Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
  • Communicates alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications and operating systems.
  • Assists with implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls.
  • Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.
  • Performs periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance.
  • Prepares incident reports of analysis methodology and results.
  • Have experience with DIACAP, RMF, XACTA, NIST and FISMA A&A processes.
  • Previous working knowledge of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Have experience using and navigating current SIEM technologies, ie: Splunk or ArcSight
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
