General Dynamics Health Solutions/ ARMA has an opening supporting the DOD Human Performance and Behavioral Health Services.
GD Health Solutions/ARMA have an exciting opportunity for individuals who are interested in supporting warriors with increased combat effectiveness, resiliency to show a measurable reduction in down time and create optimal performance on the targets. Additionally, this position will help to support and build stable families and support systems.
Cognitive Performance is an interdisciplinary field spanning kinesiology, psychology, and motor learning and control. The contractor shall train personnel, with the priority on Warriors and Direct Combat Support personnel, to develop and use the cognitive skills necessary to perform optimally in training and operations.
The contractor shall provide and perform the following services in support of human performance program for combat warriors and their families.
1. Master’s degree (Doctoral degree preferred) in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science, and/or Sport Sciences with a specialization in Sport Psychology.
2. Certification as a Certified Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (CC-AASP) is desired, but not required
TS/SCI Clearance Required for certain positions in the Ft. Bragg, NC area and the Hawaii area.
SECRET Clearance for all other positions
The contractor shall have a minimum of 5 years or more of demonstrable accumulated experience (continuous and sustained experience preferred) as a mental performance coach or Sport Psychologist with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Division I, Olympic, professional, and/or military personnel in the accompanying, respective settings.
The contractor shall be capable of lifting and/or manipulating loads or weights up to 25 kilograms and capable of meeting physical demands of training with military personnel including the ability to hike over rough terrain, function in austere environments and on various fixed or rotary wing aircraft, waterborne craft, or ground transport to observe training evolutions and to conduct training and education.
The contractor shall possess a Master’s degree (Doctoral degree preferred) in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science, and/or Sport Sciences with a specialization in Sport Psychology.
