Job Description

Minimum of six (6) years of experience including the following:

  • Installing, upgrading, and patching multi-server SharePoint farms deployed on virtual servers Identifying and implementing enhancements to improve SharePoint farm availability, reliability, and performance
  • Configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint service applications, including Search, Excel Services, OWA, User Profiles, and Workflow Provisioning and configuring SharePoint solutions, features, sites, workflows, web parts, and master pages using the SharePoint UI, SharePoint Designer, and InfoPath Using third-party migration tools (AvePoint preferred)
  • Configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint security groups, permissions, and settings
  • Working with developers to migrate SharePoint applications/solutions from test to production
  • Working with Database Administrators to configure and monitor SharePoint database servers
  • Designing, implementing, and testing effective SharePoint farm backup and recovery processes
  • Administering/configuring authentication protocols, SSL, IIS 8.5/10 and certificates Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, DNS, Active Directory, and Load Balancing
  • Automating installation, maintenance, monitoring, and operations activities through PowerShell scripting.


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.



  • DoD 8570.01m Certification required to start
  • Customer service skills including the ability to meet goals in a timely manner, action-oriented, take ownership, manage time and work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and listening skills must complement product knowledge and enable the applicant to provide clear instruction and assistance in person, over the phone or via email
  • Professional behavior and characteristics are critical and required
  • Able to work with users with varying technical backgrounds in a complex work environment
  • Working levels of experience with SharePoint 2012; technical experience in SharePoint 2010 / 2012 and SQL 2008/2012
  • Knowledge of systems quality assurance, integration, migration, and SharePoint 2010/.NET capabilities
  • Strong MS platform knowledge and skills with Server 2012
  • Experience in architecting scalable applications, developing, customizing and implementing SharePoint solutions and Workflow development knowledge
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
